Itinerary: Rome 5-9 January 2011
Airport: take airport shuttle to Roma Termini. Costs only 8€ and takes only about 45 minutes.
City centre: most of the tourist attractions are reachable by foot, even the Vatican City.
Restaurant: possibly avoid going to the restaurants. If you don't speak Italian, you will mostly get an unwelcome look. Besides, the prices are too high for the amount of food being served. The taste isn't particularly delicious as well. The best imbiss that is worth the money is called Pastarito located behind the Roma Termini. The portion is enough for 2 persons and the taste is also very decent.
Supermarket: is the best place to look for food. Besides it's worth the money, the taste is reasonable.
Pros:
+ beautiful ancient city
+ Vatican City
+ many tourist attractions
Cons:
- Romans are very unfriendly
- very expensive restaurants
- toilets are very rare and can be very annoying
Recommendations: max stay of 4 days and 3 nights.
