Ulf's B'Day Party

My best friend, Ulf organized a small birthday party and invited me to attend it. Normally at this time of the year he would do grills like he did for his 30th anniversary. This time it was too cold to do that. So, he prepared raclettes instead. It's a kind of French kind of grill cooking. The good thing about it is that besides grilling you can also prepare dishes on small pans. That reminds me totally on my childhood memory of playing cooking with small pans with my aunt. It was absolutely fun.

There were 8 of us. It started a bit later as planned. Totally German punctuality ;) Ulf started by pouring the champagne and colas. He gave a brief speech. Then we started to cook and eat. I must admit that I could really get full from it. This time I avoided alcohol to stay awake for the journey back to Dusseldorf.

It was an amazing Saturday. I got to meet an old friend, Bene again with his wife, I suppose. The highlight was meeting Ulf's girlfriend, Claudia who is now pregnant in the 4th month.

I'm extremely happy for them because they're going to start a family soon with twins.
